We have installed a lot of fixtures by Artika that we've purchased at Costco. We keep buying them because we like them so much.

When I saw this new fan/light combo, I had to have it for my room.

This was, by far, the easiest installing we've done to date!

Materials/Tools:

    • Artika Austin 23" LED Fandelier (Costco)

    • WAGO Lever-Nuts (Amazon)

Here's the Costco display that caught our eye. Actually, we loved the look, but were not sure it would provide all that much light, but that obviously did not stop us from buying it!

How to install the Artika Austin fan light.
Actually, this is the first of two fans that we bought as the first one after installed proved to have a flaw with the fan. In the video you can hear what that sounds like. The second fan we bought was perfect! Again, you can see all that in the video.

Here's everything out of the box. If you've ever installed a fan with a remote, you'll notice a separate remote receiver box is missing. On this fan it is already integrated into the fan body. When Steph saw that, she knew this was going to be an easy install.
How to install a ceiling fan by Artika.
Safety first, turn off the power at the breaker.
Here we are removing the old Hunter fan by taking it apart.
Taking down the old fan took way more time than the new installation. All the parts on this Hunter fan had to be removed individually for the fan to come down. We needed both of us to safely remove the old fan.
You can use an existing three-inch or four-inch ceiling pancake for this fan.
The adjustable bracket meant we could use the existing three-inch support pancake. In every single one of the ceiling fixture installs we've done, we've had to install a new four-inch pancake. Not having to replace the pancake is one reason why this install was so quick. There is also a small L-bracket that is installed near the support bracket for extra security.
Prepare the wires before hanging the fan.
Here Steph is assembling the parts to hang the fan. See the video for more information. A good tip at this point is to go ahead and remove the ends of the wires and twist them in preparation for wiring. It's easier to do this now than once it's overhead on the ceiling.
We used WAGO connectors to wire the fan.
Twist on wire connectors are included but we are using these WAGO connectors. The three-port one is for the three ground wires and the two-port ones are for the black and white wires. She will use one of the included twist on wire connectors to cap off the red wire as that will not be used.
Here Steph is lifting the fan into place. There is a groove in the half-ball at the top that fits into the matching groove in the support bracket.

Read the manual about wiring.
Here is the fan all wired up. Follow the instructions in the guide for wiring if you're unsure about it. If you look closely, you can see the clip is through the L-bracket which provides additional support for the fan.
How to use the remote on the Artika Austin fan.
The remove is very simple and easy to use. Top right button is off/on for the light. The large button is for fan controls. The last two rows of button control light color temperature and brightness. Also, you can use the two timer buttons to turn the remote beep on or off.

The light provides full coverage in this bedroom. As you can see it's dark around the ceiling as the light is directed downwards where it needs to be.

There are so many great things about this ceiling fan/light. First, I'm happy that I was wrong about thinking it would not give off much light. It evenly lights the room so no corner of it is dark as it was with my old ceiling light.

Next, I love the color change features and the ability to change the brightness. Bright white is perfect for starting the day and low, warm is perfect for winding dow.

The fan is adequate for cooling the room. At low and medium there is almost no noise.

100% would buy this fan again.

It doesn't look like it would work without it.
