We've had a large Ruggable brand washable rug in Steph's house for five years. Every time she wants to wash it I kind of groan as it's a big deal to put back in place.
But not this time! We finally found the secret sauce to getting it easily back in place after washing. Along the way, Steph shares this tip and others about washing this rug.
Figuring out how to efficiently connect the cover to the pad has made washing this 8x10 feet rug way less of a chore!
Tip: After washing your Ruggable, you may want to clean out your washing machine filter. If you don’t have a manual, you should be able to find one online. Both the washer at my house and Steph’s each have a little pull down door near the bottom that houses the filter and a drainage tube. You will release water so plan ahead with a shallow container to collect the water and plenty of puppy pads or paper towels. And, while you’re at it, make sure you’ve cleaned out the dryer filter.
