Vintage English Leather box: lightly sanded to remove most of the logo, painted stick-on scrapbooking elements, & scrabble letter tiles.
In 2009 I started a weekly Bible study for seven middle school girls. For the past five years, I’ve spent almost every Wednesday evening cooking dinner for them & mentoring their Christian walk.
When the time came for them to graduate high school, I knew I needed to make something special for each of them. I created a box of love for each one of them. In each box are special sentiments, words of affirmation & encouragement, and a packet of blank cards to share notes of encouragement with others.
Contents of each box included encouraging words. Packets of blank cards are tied with braiding cord threaded through a large heart button & tied into a bow.
April 2014, the girls planned a surprise for my 60th birthday which included an impromtu photo shoot.
Each box is different & tailored to each girl. I used cigar boxes, a craft box, & even an Old English Leather box. Each had the girl’s name or initial & school name she was to attend.
