Here are 10 projects to get your screen porch ready for spring into summer. Let's get started!

1. Re-Screen Porch

With simple tools, new screening and spline, you can replace screens that are no longer in good shape.

2. Patch a Screen Porch

If you get a small hole in your screen, this patching product is easy to use and fixes the damage quickly.

3. Porch Succulent Stand

The best part of this build, besides space for cute plants, is it hides all the messy cords that are plugged in behind it. When in place, the plant stand keeps all the mess out of sight and contained!

4. Clean Sliding Door Track

This is an easy fix for sliding doors that no longer slide very well. Cleaning and lubricating the track does the trick!

5. Magnetic Screen Door

This magnetic screen door attaches to the door frame with velcro. It keeps out bugs but allows your pets to come and go as they please.

6. DIY Doggie Door

We custom made a magnetic screen door for the porch door. We took the screen out of the bottom and put this into place. It Velcros into place just like the commercially available one. Again, it keeps out bugs, but allows pets to access the outside without human assistance!

7. Paint Wood Porch Furniture

It really ups the look of your porch with freshly painted wood outdoor furniture. This Olympic Elite stain is a perfect choice.

8. Replace Door Closer

You don't have to put up with a porch screen door that doesn't close properly. Replace the old closer with a new one.

9. DIY Porch Side Table

Here's an easy to build table that also doubles as a bench or coffee table. It uses inexpensive landscape timbers and is painted with Olympic Elite stain.

10. Clean Screened-In Porch

Finally, a little spring cleaning goes a long way to making your porch look fresh! Cleaning your screens takes time but you only need a damp microfiber cloth to get them clean. Don't forget to clean the ceiling fan and light fixtures if you have them. As soon as pollen season is over is the time to get the porch into shape!
So here are 10 projects that will make your porch fresh, clean, and more functional. Let us know if there are other projects that you tackle to get your porch spring ready.
