It's important to keep your roof clear of leaves & branches. Here are a few tips:
Clean Sweep: Roofs & Gutters. Tools needed. MotherDaughterProjects.com
Tools: Ladder, Long extension Cord, Loppers, Broom, Leaf blower and Helper.

You'll need a pair of shoes with good grip (such as Vibram Five Finger Shoes as seen here).

Use the leaf blower to remove leaves from the roof.
