This week on Workshop Wednesday, we shared a follow up project in the kitchen. While we were there, Steph also shared a "Fast DIY" to help with kitchen storage and organization.

This project uses our favorite metal pegboard by Wall Control. They make these small horizontal panels that were perfect for the idea Steph had for some simple, quick to install storage.

Quick organization and storage with Wall Control.
Steph has a small kitchen which is extremely limited in storage space. This one cabinet holds pots and pans, but were a jumbled mess making things hard to access. Steph finally got tired of having to move one or two things to get to the pan she needed. Wall Control to the rescue!
Organizing a kitchen cabinet with Wall Control.
She emptied the cabinet and started to place the wall control panel. She wanted to make use of the sides of the cabinets, freeing up space in the middle for easier storage and access. She positioned the panel, leveled it and then screwed it into place.
Securing the Wall Control panel into place.
She used basic wood screws to secure the panel. In case you're wondering, the screws did not come out on the other side of the cabinet wall!
There are matching Wall Control panels on each side of the cabinet.
She put one on each side of the cabinet. She also removed that sliding wire shelf on the bottom, as it was not serving much of a purpose.
Adding the Wall Control hooks.
Here she is attaching the hooks. The nice things about using this system is being able to easily reposition the hooks where you need them.
Hanging the pans on the Wall Control hooks.
Testing out the placement. She had to move it further in as the door wouldn't close, but everything fits perfectly. The lid hangs up and out of the way easily.
Three pans hanging on one Wall Control hook.
This hook easily holds three pans.
The Wall Control hook even holds a heavy cast iron pan.
The other side got another lid, pot holders, and yes, that is a heavy cast iron pan on that hook! It holds it securely.
We are liking to new organization provided by the Wall Control panels and hooks.

Removing that metal sliding shelf makes the interior much for functional.

Gifts from The Home Depot.
During this same Workshop Wednesday, we shared a "gifts for DIYers" segment. These are some of the tools from our current quarter with the The Home Depot ProSpective campaign. While reviewing and testing them out, we thought some might make great gifts!
Bosch 30' self leveling cross line laser
The Bosch 30' self leveling cross line laser is perfect for creating a gallery wall or making sure the shelves you're hanging are perfectly level!
GO 4-Volt Max Lithium-Ion Cordless Screwdriver with USB Charger and Insert Bits
This is so cool! It is a brand new tool offering from Dremel. It's the GO 4-Volt Max Lithium-Ion Cordless Screwdriver with USB Charger and Insert Bits. It's cordless and charges with a USB cable! I didn't expect to like this, but I do. When you push down on it, it automatically unscrews or drives in a screw. JUST. LIKE. THAT. It's a perfect gift for a new homeowner or apartment dweller. Keep it in the kitchen drawer for easy access.

It's super bright and portable. Use it in the workshop or keep it in your emergency supplies. It makes a great camping light as well. It comes preloaded with six AAA batteries. That's super convenient!
FIRM GRIP LEATHER IMPACT XL + LARGE TAN FULL GRAIN LEATHER GLOVE
What's the prefect stocking stuffer for a DIYer? Gloves of course! These are by Firm Grip, leather, and require no break in period.

They are padded well and have no strong leather odor.
