Steph's on-going quest to find a tool or system to rake up leaves in her backyard has finally come to an end!

Steph's backyard is nothing but rock as no grass will grow because of all the tree coverage and ALL those trees drop lots of leaves two times a year!

At long last, she has found the ultimate bag/rake combination to clean up the overabundance of leaves!

Products:

  • Amazing Rake (Amazon)

  • Bag Butler Lawn and Leaf Trash Bag Holder (Amazon)

  • Keter 165-Gallon Resin Outdoor Deck Box (Amazon)

Showing how to use the Bag Butler for bagging fallen leaves.
The "system" starts with the Bag Butler. It's a heavy duty piece of plastic, that when inserted, keeps an ordinary black yard bag open for easy filling. You simply fold the sides in towards the circle logo and put it in a bag.

You put the Bag Butler in the bag and let it go! It instantly adds support and structure to the black bag. Any size bag from 30 to 39 gallons can be used. Fold down any excess at the top and you're ready to start bagging.
Showing the Amazing Rake and the telescoping handle feature.
The Amazing Rake (and yes, that is its name!) has a telescoping handle making it easy to store. Simply turn the orange locking mechanism to unlock, extend the handle, and you are all ready to go.
The secret to the Amazing Rake is this claw action. One side to rake and together, they scoop.

You can quickly open up another bag and you're ready to bag even more leaves with little effort.

You can even pick up small sticks without issue.

And, you can pick up damp and decaying leaves.

With the two tools, there's no bending or stooping to pick up leaves.

We store everything in a Sam's outdoor garden box.
And when you're finished, booth tools easily store away! By the way, that garden storage box is from Sam's Club. It was a great value for the price. As of this writing (June 2022), they still have them in the warehouse.
So, what do you think? Is this the ultimate manual leaves picking-up system?

It's a great option for Steph's small yard and she likes that everything stores away so compactly and easily.
