A few weeks ago I had to put down my cat, Catalina. I got her for my high school graduation so she had been with me a long time. I decided I didn't want to get another cat because they are a big commitment and I'm not sure where I will be in a few years.

I have a beta fish, Mogi, but I need a new furry friend so I decided to get a hamster!

I did a lot of research and found the Qute Hamster and Gerbil Cage made by Omlet.
I had it shipped to me and when it arrived I realized some assemble was required, which I love, so I happily put together my cage project! It was very easy and instructions were clear. If you have ever put together anything from Ikea then you can do this.

My nephew Tyler helped me pick out my dwarf hamster and set up his cage. Tyler and I decided to name him "Apple Tyler" short name Apple :)

So far I love the cage. Apple was not able to climb up the vertical tube at first but after the first day he was a pro. The wheel is nice because it does not make noise when used and seems very smooth. The bottom section can be removed easily to clean the cage. Overall, I think this cage is a great design, it looks great, has plenty of room for my hamster, and will be easy to clean.

FYI I have no connections to this company. I just like this hamster cage and thought you might too.

If Catalina was still with me I'm NOT sure she and Apple would be friends.
