We're going on a Field Trip! It's no surprise that it's to The Home Depot. Today we're going to share about Ryobi Days sale. It's a promotion where you buy a select tool, this year it's a battery/charger kit, and then you get one select power tool for free. There are a dozen in the store to choose from, BUT, the deal is also online, where there are many more to choose from. As part of the ProSpective campaign, The Home Depot sent us a gift card to take advantage of the promotion and to share our experience with you.
Ryobi Days train.
Look for this display in your store. Ours was in the front part of the store in the main aisle. The sale runs now through June 19 (I gave the wrong date in the video.) Note: we did not find any of the battery kits in our display, but we looked in the regular Ryobi tool display and found them! Ask if you can't find them or order online.
Ryobi Days free with purchase inverter tool.
Decision, decisions! We actually went into the store with a couple of tools in mind to get--this was not one of them! But, this little inverter caught our attention and won out. We are just days away from the start of hurricane season and we thought this would be a smart purchase to add to our emergency supplies.
Ryobi Days buy this get one tool free battery kit.
This is the kit you buy. It comes with two batteries, a compact charger (so nice), and a bag. The inverter will fit into the bag making it convenient to store or to take to the beach or on a picnic.

Materials/Tools:

  • RYOBI 18-Volt ONE+ LITHIUM+ HP 3.0 Ah Battery (2-Pack) Starter Kit with Charger and Bag (Home Depot)

  • RYOBI 150-Watt Powered Inverter Generator for 18-Volt Battery (Home Depot)

Ryobi 18 volt inverter for power outages.
The inverter can run plug in devices up to 150 watts or conveniently charge your phone or laptop. It's portable power where you need it!
Ryobi inverter features two USB ports.
There are two USB ports on the inverter as well as an outlet and built in flashlight.
Fast DIY quick fix for barstools.
Also, in this episode of Workshop Wednesday, Steph shared a Fast DIY. She has these new bar stools with a simple metal rod as the footrest. This is not comfortable at all on barefeet. Her solution: pipe insulation!
Pipe insulation is a quick fix for uncomfortable bar stool footrests.
The fix is to simply cut the insulation to length, expose the adhesive on the inside and place it over the footrest.
Attaching the pipe insulation to the chair footrest.
Simply place it around the footrest and stick the sides together, turn the seam towards the bottom to hide.
Cover the insulation with fabric.
The second option is to cover the insulation. Cut a piece of fabric a little bigger than the cut piece, fold in the edges and hot glue in place. (If you sew, you can sew these, but hot glue is fast and efficient!)
Add the fabric to the pipe insulation for a prettier footrest cushion.
Peel off the covers from the adhesive edge, stick the fabric down into the space and bring it around to the other side and tuck into the open space.
You can match the fabric to something you already have in your space.
Place it on the bar stool and adjust the seam so it doesn't show.
The finished covered footrests on the bar stools.
Awwwww, so much better!
Before: nice but uncomfortable!

After: which do you like better?
Ruggable review of new living room rug.
The third segment in this episode of Workshop Wednesday was a review of this new rug by Ruggable. Watch the video to see the install and Steph's review of the product. (This rug review was not sponsored. That greyhound in the picture is the reason Steph went with this particular rug!)
