Unique Laundry Room Organization with Wall Control

With the success of the organization of our craft closet with Wall Control and other pre-made components, we were eager to organize another small space as soon as possible. We found that few tools are needed to install the panels and only a little skill with a drill is needed making this a project that is doable for many DIYers.

We contacted Wall Control, the family owned and operated business making metal pegboard, to see if they'd like to provide product for our next project. As well as being family owned, the pegboards and accessories are made right up the road from us in Georgia! Family owned and "made in the USA!" We love that.

We decided to add a Wall Control Laundry Value Kit to Steph's laundry room. This room is very tiny making it a good candidate for wall hung storage and organization.

Take a look at the video to see how it came together. And, yes, it probably only took 20 minutes or so to install the panels!

Materials/ Tools:
  • Wall Control Deluxe Laundry Room Organizer Kit (Amazon)
  • Stud Finder (Amazon)
  • Drill/ Driver
  • 1/8" and 1/4" drill bit
  • Mallet
  • Level
All the components included with the Deluxe Laundry Kit.
One of the things we really like about Wall Control is the care they take in the packaging of their parts. Everything is individually bagged or in a bag that has individual compartments. This means nothing has the opportunity to get scratched. Our components arrived scratch and dent FREE! That paper on the left lists everything that is included with the Deluxe Laundry Kit. With it we were able to check to see that everything was included. No surprise--everything was there!
Using a stud finder to find the wall studs.
We started by finding the studs and marking them. Ideally, the panels should be installed into studs. If this is not possible, wall anchors, which are included as well as screws, are used.
Screw the panels to the wall.
Once everything is level and marked, everything is screwed into the wall.
Install the horizontal panel.
The last panel is installed. The laundry kit panels can be installed in any configuration as long as the slots remain vertical.
All the pegs and shelving are in place.
All the pegs and shelving in place! The items on the horizontal panel tuck nicely behind the door. All the laundry needs are accessible directly across from the washer/dryer.
Everything is very easy to access.
As you can see, the space is tight, but there's just enough room to easily access everything. The hanger rack makes it very convenient to hang things fresh out of the dryer.

We have been so pleased with the Wall Control system. We like the look, the variety of pegs and shelving and the ease of the install.

We have pegboard panels in Steph's garage, but that is strictly utilitarian, not something we'd have inside either of our homes. This is a pegboard system that you'll be happy to have in your home!

Where would you put Wall Control? What about the color? We've used only the white but it comes in a variety of colors.

Please note: We are not sponsored by Wall Control but they did provide the product we used for free. Thanks Wall Control!

FYI: We are not professionals, and we don’t claim to be. This is what we found worked for our project. Yours may need a little different approach. Safety first!
