Steph bought into the Home Reserve sofa system to give her two greyhounds and humans room to spread out.

She did a one year video update video seven months ago where she shared that the couch has held up really well and the upholstery washed up without any noticeable change. The couch still looks brand new even after a year of use by the dogs.

She did identify two issues with the couch but didn't contact the company about them. It wasn't that big of a deal to her.

Well, fast forward to about a month ago where 'out of the blue' she heard from Home Reserve. They had seen her update video and wanted to send her a new arm piece with updated hardware that would solve the squeak problem she had with the original.

They also sent a very unexpected and extremely thoughtful gift which you can see at the end of the video.
This arm of the Home Reserve sofa has a bit of movement and squeak.
In the update video she identified this arm has having a bit of movement and squeak. This is where she sits most often so this side of the couch gets more use than the other end.
The cushions on the Home Reserve sofa tend to scoot forward over time.
The other issue is the couch cushions tend to scoot forward over time. Not a big deal, but a tiny bit annoying.

This is the new arm that Home Reserve sent to fix the problem. There are some updated features which make it even easier to use.
One part of then Home Reserve Tux arm.
Like we did originally, we set everything up to paint first to seal in the odor. Although, I must say, I didn't think the odor was nearly as strong as the original.
Sealing the Tux home reserve sofa pieces with paint.
We used paint that we had on hand. This is actually ceiling paint I'm putting on with a small foam roller and brush.

Washing the arm cover in the machine using Woolite.
When Steph washed the cushion covers she did not wash the arm pieces. It is obvious from the discoloration that this piece needed washing. There is a video on how she washed the covers if you're interested in more information.
Assembling the new Tux home reserve arm.
Assembling the arm was super easy and fast. It's like putting together a 3D puzzle!

Steph is pointing to the new and improved attachment point that should solved the movement/squeak issue.
Home Reserve recommends putting the arm cover (and cushions) back on when they are slightly damp.

The new attachment system has knobs making it easy and quick to attach the arm to the side of the chair unit.

Home Reserve also sent along some shelf liner to put under the bottom cushions to see if that would stop the cushions from drifting forward.

Shelf liner under the cushions doesn't seem to help the bottom cushions from moving forward.
Steph added two lengths of the shelf liner and added back the cushions. This doesn't seem to be helping though. We'll see if anything changes over time.
Home Reserve sent along a picture of Mac the greyhound as a gift.
This was the unexpected and thoughtful gift that Home Reserve sent along. Mac was one of the two greyhounds that prompted the purchase of the sofa. Steph shared in the update video that Mac had passed away.
Here's the sofa all put back together with Tosh enjoying her half of the sofa.
I have to say, I had my doubts about this modular, ready to assemble sectional, but it has been the perfect addition to Steph's living room. There is plenty of room for animals and people plus the upholstery has held up so well.

That is probably the most impressive part. It cleans like a dream and doesn't pill like many upholstery fabric tend to do.

The customer service really sets Home Reserve apart from other companies. The fact that they honored the life of Mac with such a thoughtful gift is above and beyond!
